The Chiado

Chiado is one of the most symbolic districts in the city of Lisbon and one of the most steeped in history. Chiado became the centre of Portuguese Romanticism, a must visit for those who wished to be known in the city. Eça de Queiroz himself in his work "Os Maias" made many references to Chiado and to the literary Guild.

Carlos, museums and galleries, stores, bars and restaurants, Chiado is still the most genuine artistic and intellectual quartier in Lisbon, an advert for design and fashion and the place to live well.
